'P2' LITTER Whelped January 14th, 2021 9 puppies - 7 females (4 liver, 3 black) and 2 males (all liver) Ready for pickup starting March 6th, 2021. Ready to ship by airline after March 11th, 2021. All puppies are spoken for.
We are very excited about this pairing between two talented, young dogs. Odin and Bay compliment each other very well, and they also match up well on paper. This should be a very nice linebreeding.
SIRE:
BONE POINT'S GUNNAR - "Odin"
NAVHDA NA: 107/II at 7 mo VHDF HAE: 70 pts at 15 mo VHDF AHAE: 170 pts at 19 mo NAVHDA UT: Summer of 2021 DOB: 1/31/2019 HEIGHT: 24.5" WEIGHT: 62 lbs COAT: short length, liver roan, dense/harsh BITE & EYES: normal HIPS: PENNhip L.22 R.28 THYROID: OFA Normal
Odin is a precocious young male with incredible raw talent. We haven't been this excited about a male in 20 years and we expect him to have a big impact on our breeding program. When you break down all aspects of the versatile dog, he is exceptional in nearly all of them. His desire and intensity on game is as good as I have ever seen. He has a very long nose. He hammers the water to retrieve and has a natural duck search. He is a dog that naturally works head-high on game, but is a fantastic tracking dog, when needed on cripples. His work ethic, cooperation and trainability are as good as you can ask for - he has a lot of bottom and he wants to work, but he is a dog that needs an experienced handler. Odin is one of the strongest natural retrieves I have seen and has already made several very nice blind retrieves on chukar this year. He has a friendly personality to our kids and strangers, and he gets along well with our other dogs. Odin scored a maximum 70 points in the VHDF HAE test, which is not an easy task. He ran the VHDF AHAE test at 19 months old where he scored a very high 170 pts with scores of 11 (for exceptional work under difficult circumstances) in Search, Search Behind the Duck, and Desire. Odin is learning to apply all of his talents on wild birds this year and we have no doubt that he will be a great hunting dog with experience. Odin is out of a very tight linebreeding and we expect this to contribute to his prepotency as a sire. His dam, Ziva, is one of the best dogs we have ever owned and many of our nicest dogs in recent years are out of her. His sire, Blitz, is one of Jeff Funke's top producing males. In addition, he is linebred on the great producing Lager v den drei Teufeln. When you combine these genes with Odin's talent, we fully expect him to be a great producer for our breed. Odin is co-owned with Nathan and Christy Grimm of Pasco, Washington.
DAM: BONE POINT'S CHINOOK - "Bay"
NAVHDA NA: 112/I NAVHDA UT: Fall of 2020 (cancled due to COVID-19)@ 3 yrs HEIGHT: 24" WEIGHT: 55 lbs COAT: black roan, dense/harsh BITE & EYES: normal HIPS: OFA Good THYROID: OFA Normal
Bay is talented up-and-coming female and she has quickly earned her way as our top house dog. Her strongest attributes are her nose, strong point, bird finding & handling abilities, and her strong willingness to please. She has become a great wild bird dog for us. Bay has also been a natural in the duck blind, and loves retrieving ducks over water. Bay's calm demeanor and incredibly cooperative attitude make her a dog that almost anyone could train, which is evident by how our 8 year old son taught her to 'sit' and 'shake' in just a couple of lessons as young puppy. She is a dream in the house and has an excellent temperament around people, kids, and other dogs. We are recieving very good reports on Bay's first litter.

'Q2' LITTER Whelped January 17th, 2021 6 puppies - 3 males and 3 females (all liver ticked) Ready for pickup starting March 10th, 2021. Ready to ship by airline after March 14th, 2021. All puppies are spoken for. We expected 2020 to be Harley's last litter, and we were very disappointed that we did not get the female we were after from that litter. When Odin came around, I felt that he was the perfect match for Harley and had to give it one more shot. This is a very tight linebreeding, but so was the litter that produced Odin and those puppies turned out exceptional.

DAM: BONE POINT'S MARLEY - "Harley"
NAVHDA NA: 112/I NAVHDA UT: 162/III @ 3 yrs HEIGHT: 24.5" WEIGHT: 58 lbs COAT: liver roan, medium dense/medium harsh BITE & EYES: normal HIPS: PENNhip R.26 L.26, 90th percentile THYROID: OFA Normal
Harley is one of our nicest hunting dogs. She is virtually a clone of her dam, Allie, who was one of our favorite all-time wirehairs - as both an amazing hunting dog and family companion. Harley has the same fast, hard driving search of her dam. She is an animated, stylish dog in the field. She has loved water from very early on and is a very natural retriever. Whether it is in the field or water, she has an extra gear that most dogs just don't have. She simply wants to find birds a little more and is willing to run a little farther, or dig a little deeper to produce them. As high-powered as Harley is as a hunting dog, you would never know it around the house. Her dam was the same way. She is very affectionate and she is a great family dog inside the house. She is also a very cooperative dog that wants to please. Harley is out of one of our most successful breedings out of Luke and Allie. This cross really combined to bring out the best of both parents in their offspring. Luke is owned by Jeff Funke of Three Devils kennel and he has produced several very talented dogs. Seven of Harley's previous puppies have been NAVHDA Natural Ability tested, scoring an average of 105.5 points. One son also received a utility prize I at 2.8 years old.

'R2' LITTER Whelped March 23rd, 2021 7 puppies - 5 males and 2 females (all liver ticked) Ready for pickup starting May 14th, 2021. All puppies are spoken for. We have been receiving excellent feedback on our Porter pups from last year. With Porter getting up in age, we really wanted to get another litter out of him. Porter and Betty match up very well and this should be a very nice litter.

THREE DEVILS PORTER
VHDF HAE: 69 pts VHDF AHAE: 160 pts DOB: 5/8/2011 HEIGHT: 25" WEIGHT: 64 lbs COAT: medium length, liver roan, med dense/ med harsh BITE & EYES: normal HIPS: PENNhip L.31 R.28 THYROID: OFA Normal
Porter is an excellent all-around versatile hunting dog, owned by Tom Segal of Ontario, OR. I have hunted over Porter multiple times and have been impressed with him both as a hunting dog, and his temperament. Porter is a medium range dog in the field that stretches out a couple hundred yards in chukar country. He has an excellent nose, a very strong point and he handles his birds with caution. He works head-high and has very good style and intensity on point. Porter is a strong retriever on land and water, with excellent water drive, scoring maximum 10s in water in all three of his VHDF tests. Porter has a calm demeanor around the house, and he is great with Tom's young children and other dogs. He has a sound temperament and has handled training with ease.
DAM: BONE POINT'S FERRARI - "Betty"
NAVHDA NA: 112/I @ 3.9 mo NAVHDA UT: summer 2021 VHDF AHAE: 183 pts (102%)3 yrs HEIGHT: 24" WEIGHT: 52 lbs COAT: liver roan, medium dense/medium harsh BITE & EYES: normal HIPS: PENNhip R.22 L.22, 95th percentile THYROID: OFA Normal
Betty is our latest breeding female to make the team. Her natural talent was obvious from a very early age when she scored a maximum 112/I in the NAVHDA Natural Ability test at 3.9 months old. If that doesn't make her the youngest 112 in the history of NAVHDA, she is probably very close. Betty is a near clone of her sire, Max (Bone Point's Magnus NA I, UT I), and her granddam Allie (McNally's Super Ali NA I, UT I). This dog can fly. Incredible ground speed and she eats up the ground. She is a very stylish pointer and would also make a great horseback field trial prospect. She hammers the water and is a great water dog. Just like her sire and granddam, she is also a very cooperative, sweet dog that really wants to please. Betty is a great house dog and an easy keeper around the house. Betty is from a very successful breeding between Max and Ziva where two litters had 11 puppies NA tested with an average score of 108 points. One dog became a UT I before 2 years old and a VC before 3 years old, and a few others were UT prize Is and IIs as 2 years olds. Betty has loads of talent and we are excited to see what she will produce.
